Port Blair, Mar 09: Thanks to the continuous pressure created by the Director General of Police, A & N Islands, Mr. Satyendra Garg, IPS, now bootleggers will get nightmares in these Islands.
Mr. Satyendra Garg, IPS today informed people that for the first time in Andaman, a bootlegger has been convicted for 15 days jail.
“Madhusudan, 55 years, of Bambooflat has been involved in 14 cases and convicted with Fines earlier. Hon’ble Court of CJM awarded him 15 days Jail this time. Let Islands be Total Free of Bootlegging,” the DGP mentioned in a tweet today.
Andaman Sheekha, Daily is sure that such stringent action will send a strong message and help in ending bootlegging menace in Andaman completely.
