Port Blair, Oct 17: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC has requested to the Director, Civil Supplies, AN Administration to consider enhanced quota of all ration items to the islanders during the festive season.
Mr. Sharma has stated that various festivals of Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christians etc will be celebrated in the form of Dussera Durga Puja, Deepawali, Eid, Christmas and Lohri etc and will be celebrated in these islands by the inhabitants.
Mr. Sharma has stated in his letter that enhancement in the quota of ration articles, especially Sugar, Rice and Kerosene during these festivals, will certainly boost the mood and spirit of festivity amongst the people of these islands.
