Port Blair, Feb 04: As part of 1st phase of COVID-19 vaccination to health care staffs of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, vaccination sessions were undertaken at health institutions of Swarajdweep and Shaheed Dweep.
Dr. Avijit Roy, Deputy Director (Health) and Nodal Officer (Covid-19) monitored the vaccination sessions and vaccinated 84 health care workers including ASHA and Anganwadi Workers. Now, it is planned to undertake vaccination sessions at Little Andaman. Till now, a total of 3068 health care workers are vaccinated against COVID-19 in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The islands have also achieved ZERO active cases status and we are focused to achieve maximum vaccination in UT. The vaccination drive is conducted under the closed supervision of Commissioner cum Secretary (Health), A & N Admn.
