Port Blair, Jan 19: A Camp in connection with Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and PM-KISAN beneficiaries was held at Community Hall Govind Nagar, Campbell today.
Dr Avinash Neeraj (SVO) and Ramesh kumar (AD, Agriculture) briefed about the objective of KCC, which has been conceptualized by the Government of India to facilitate universal access to concessional institutional credit for all PM-KISAN beneficiaries. The farmers can avail the benefits of PM-KISAN under KCC once they submit documents (Aadhar card, Bank passbook, Pan card etc) and fill up form for the issue of Kisan Credit Card.
A total number of 46 applications of animal husbandry for KCC has been received from Govind Nagar and Campbell Bay panchayat till date and 25 applications has already been issued KCC from the said panchayats related to animal husbandry.
Officers of Line Department including Agriculture, Fisheries and Bank Manager of Canara and Andaman and Nicobar Cooperative Bank were also present on the occasion.
