Port Blair, Jan 10: Together with entire nation, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has also set a date with the COVID-19 vaccination drive on January 16, 2021, sources told Andaman Sheekha, Daily.
As per details in the first phase, nearly 4865 health care workers of Andaman and Nicobar Islands will be inoculated.
Sources said, on the very first day only 100 health care workers will be inoculated and gradually the number will be increased and within two weeks the task of inoculating 4865 health care workers will be completed.
Earlier, two dry runs for the vaccination drive were conducted in Andaman together with entire India.
It has been learnt that the vaccine vials will reached Andaman and Nicobar Islands in a couple of days while the syringes for the vaccination drive has already reached Andaman.
