Port Blair, Jan 03: The new Director General of Police, Mr. Satyendra Garg, IPS, has brought a positive energy among police officers and Jawans soon after taking over the charge of DGP.
According to highly placed sources the new DGP has issued some strict directives about the ethical conduct and transparency in the department, which has brought huge confidence among all the hardworking and sincere police officers and jawans.
Prominent Islanders and senior police officers are now having high hopes from new DGP and they are hoping to see some positive changes in Andaman and Nicobar Police in coming days.
Islanders expect that the new DGP will check old records and find out those best performing police officers and Jawans, who have been sidelined since last several years despite their excellent service records and give then proper responsibility.
Some deserving police officers and Jawans, who are waiting for their out of turn promotion for their excellent performance of detecting crucial cases are also hopeful, this time.
Sources said that some senior Inspector ranked officers are also planning to meet the new DGP to discuss their problems in coming days.
Andaman and Nicobar Police has some of the finest police officers in entire country, hope the new DGP will be able to bring out best from these officers to keep Andaman free from Drugs, illicit liquor and crimes.
