Port Blair, Dec 24: On the occasion of “National Consumer Day” on 24th December 2020 Consumer Rights Organisation (India), A&N Unit in association with Dept. of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, A&N Administration organized a special drive regarding weighing of essential commodities.
Shri Zubair, Assistant Director, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Dept., A&N Administration inaugurated the weighing balance machine which was installed for the consumers at Modern Fish Market Junglighat. He also briefed the consumers regarding their rights, also explained how to utilize and check the correct weight of commodities, and appreciated the efforts made by Consumers rights Organisation (CRO), A&N team.
The consumers can utilize this facility free of cost. Shri Rajan, State President, CRO, A&N Unit also explained the importance of “National Consumer Day” and thanked the Dept of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs for their valuable support. The consumer awareness programme was ended with vote of thanks by Shri Harish Sawanth, Oraganising Secretary, CRO, A&N Unit.
