Port Blair, Dec 04: On the issue of empty office of Civil Supplies at Rangat, Andaman Sheekha conducted further enquiry. When contacted one staff of the office, blamed BSNL for this confusion.
According to the staff, who does not want his name to be quoted, since a long time the Civil Supplies office of Rangat is contacting BSNL Rangat to rectify BSNL broadband connection of the office, as to make correction and to update Aadhaar card the office requires Broadband connection.
Hence for the same reason officials of Civil Supplies were forced to visit BSNL office and meet BSNL staffs. “There are only three staffs in the office and when we were out for BSNL line repair, someone clicked the photo. We need to fix BSNL line for public service,” he added.
Moreover he added that even to implement ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme of Government of India, the office does not have proper internet connection yet.
