Port Blair, Dec 01: A decomposed body was found hanging inside an old building near Durga Temple, Govind Nagar, Swaraj Dweep on 30th November 2020.
On information police team of PS Swaraj Dweep reached the spot. The deceased was later identified by police as Mr. Biren Roy, 28 years, a resident of Govind Nagar.
As per sources Mr. Biren Roy was missing since 27 November 2020 and a missing complaint in this regard was lodged by his wife on 29 November 2020 at PS Swaraj Dweep.
According to details, on 27 November 2020, Mr. Biren Roy had some arguments with his wife and children after which he left the home and did not return.
Although after post mortem yesterday the body was handed over to the family members of the deceased, Mr. Bidhan Roy, an uncle of Late Biren Roy has demanded thorough inquiry in this entire issue as according to him this can’t be a suicide but a murder.
