Port Blair, Nov 26: Andaman and Nicobar Command with its Components and Units rededicated itself to the Nation by safeguarding its borders and its Constitution. The Preamble to the Constitution was read out and the significance of the Constitution was explained to the personnel, which was followed by oath taking by the personnel at 11:00 am on 26th November 2020. Constitution Day is celebrated in our country on this day every year to commemorate the adopting of the Constitution of India by the General Assembly on 26th November 1949. The Constitution came into effect from 26th January 1950.
