Port Blair, Nov 25: Under the leadership of Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Mr. B Eswar Rao, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands wrote a letter to the Hon’ble Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs and to the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands requesting them to commence direct flight services from Port Blair to Vishakhpatnam.
In his letter Mr. B Eswar Rao has mentioned that Andaman and Nicobar Islands has a considerable Telegu Speaking population, who hails from Andhra Pradesh. Due to the pandemic many of these people are stuck at Andhra Pradesh and are not able to return back.
He further mentioned that the Telegu Community is the third largest community in the Islands and they are facing a lot of hardships to travel between Port Blair and Vishakhpatnam.
Mr. B Eswar Rao requested the dignitaries to start direct flight between Port Blair and Vishakhpatnam and vice versa for the benefit of the Islanders.
