Port Blair, Nov 18: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to issue necessary directions to the concerned department to redress and resolve some grievances of Tribal Council, Katchal Islands at the earliest possible to facilitate them to get the services properly in the remote Inter Island for which they are facing hardships. The grievances are restoration of BSNL network at Katchal Island, Posting of Lab technician and X-Ray technician at PHC Katchal, To provide Mortuary van at PHC Katchal, Regular berthing of Cargo and Passenger vessel’s MV Campbell Bay and MV Coral Queen at Katchal wharf, To increase frequency of Pawan hans helicopter service and avoid diversion of seats to other Islands reserved for Katchal people and restoration of fire service vehicle which is under repair over a month.
