Port Blair, Nov 01: The State BJP Unit Team under the leadership of Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands along with Mr. Sanjay Singh, State Vice President and Core Committee Member, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. M Vinod, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Prakash Adhikari, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Mrs. Anusriya Devi, National Council Member, Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha attended a meeting called by the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industries at their office in Aberdeen Bazaar yesterday.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi was accorded a warm welcome by the ACCI members and was presented with a shawl and bouquet.
During the meeting the members of the ACCI submitted a demand letter to Mr. Ajoy Bairagi with a list of demands from the business community of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The major demands of the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industries include immediate revival of the Tourism Industry of the Islands, revival of the fisheries industry in the Islands and financial package for the small and medium businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The members of the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industries requested Mr. Ajoy Bairagi to take up the issues listed in the demand letter with the Central Govt. for immediate fulfillment. Mr. Ajoy Bairagi during the meeting thanked the members of the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industries for their trust on the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party and assured to take up the issue at appropriate levels in the Central Govt., with the senior functionaries of the party in New Delhi and has also assured the members of the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industries that, Bharatiya Janata Party has always been with the businessmen community and has helped them on several occasions in the past and the party will keep on working for their welfare.
