Mayabunder, November 01: The District Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman, Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan, has said that after taking several steps, the spread of the virus among the residents of the region is under control, and in the coming days, there will be 100 % percent control over it.
Explaining about the steps taken to control the situation, Dr. Chauhan said that essential commodities, LPG etc were provided in the doorsteps of the public by setting up a robust call center. This controlled the movement of the public, and in turn, it resulted in breaking the chain of the virus.
“We have also kept ourselves prepared by setting up a 50 bedded new COVID care center and by recruiting adequate nursing staff to have enough strength for handling new cases,” said Dr. Chauhan.
She also added that for controlling the spread of the virus among others, the District Administration has also started the testing of the outsider coming via bus and private vehicles.
