Port Blair, Oct 29: Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman & Nicobar Islands led by Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP – A & N Islands through Mr. M Vinod, State Vice President, BJP – A & N Islands requested the Minister of Civil Aviation, GOI to Increase the number of inbound flights from major metropolitan cities such as Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangaluru, Hyderabad etc from November, 2020 onwards.
Furthermore, Mr. M Vinod brought to the knowledge of the Minister that, In view of ongoing pandemic the Tourism industry of these Islands has been hit the hardest which used to be the largest employment provider in private sectors of these Islands. He further requested Hon’ble Minister to increase the number of flights which will surely help and boost the fallen tourism industry besides supporting thousands of livelihoods depending on it during the pandemic financial crunch.
