Port Blair, Oct 27: As part of commemorative events related to Police Flag Day observed on 21st October, 2020 to recognize and pay tribute to the brave policemen for their supreme sacrifice in the line of duty, staff of CID Unit, A&N Police carried out a cleanliness drive on 24th October, 2020 in the premises of CID Unit under Swachch Bharat Campaign following all protocol laid down for COVID-19. Beside this in a simple function held on 27th October, 2020 Mr. Anant Mittal, IPS, Superintendent of Police(CID), other senior officers and staff of CID Unit planted saplings in the premises of CID Unit in the memory of martyrs.
A&N Police appeals to the general public to follow the COVID-19 protocol/guidelines laid down by the government and the local Administration and also encourage others to follow by wearing mask, washing hand and maintaining physical distance.
