Port Blair, Oct 20: Consequent to a recent viral social media post, regarding the inhuman and unhygienic condition under which sanitation workers work and lack of proper adequate protecting gears for the Sanitary Workers of Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC), Mr. Abdul Rasheed donated 250 pairs of hand gloves to the Sanitary Officer of Municipal Council for the use of Sanitary Workers.
The effort of Mr. Rasheed, who is also popularly known as Ration Rasheed, has been appreciated by the Council. The council also expressed gratitude to Mr Rasheed.
