Port Blair, Oct 19: Ms V K Mariyam Bibi, former -Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad South Andaman has requested the Director of Shipping Services to allow atleast two auto-rickshaws on vehicle ferry vessels, per trip, between Port Blair and Bambooflat.
According to Ms. V K Mariyam Bibi, the auto-rickshaw drivers are facing difficulties to go to Port Blair as these vehicles are not allowed on vehicle ferry vessels.
The DSS has reportedly assured her to do the needful in this regard.
