Port Blair, Oct 12: Mr. G. Mehul Krishna Kumar’s debut novella “Lucid Dream’s: Let’s Redefine Love” was unveiled by Mr. Naresh Chander Lal (recipient of PadmaShri Award) in an event held at NK International. The book launch was attended by Smti. Saraswati Narayan, Mr. Vikas Lal Patel and the author’s parents alongwith numerous youths of these islands.
The beginning of the event was marked by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by the welcome address and a bouquet of gratitude was presented to the chief guest. The event progressed with a splendid blurb of the book narrated by the author himself. G. Mehul Krishna Kumar in his address shared the insights of the book in which he stated “LUCID DREAMS: Let’s Redefine Love tells the tale of Aman Kumar aka AK- who is a rockstar by profession and like any sadist musician has a heart that was once broken badly by a girl named Reshmi Pandey. This is the story of two lovers who were destined to stay apart. Their dream of being together is tested high by the hard hitting facts of life. A love story that involves the emotions of their family and friends results in a rollercoaster ride that comes to an end when a lucid dreamer arrives and makes things looks perfect. The ending may give you a perfect family to rejoice but every perfect family has a brutal past that stands on sacrifices made by the ones they loved.” G. Mehul Krishna Kumar concluded his speech with a vote of thanks to the people gathered there and all media houses in attendance.
The event was electrified by the power packed words of the chief guest where he expressed his delightedness in releasing the novella from an islander and dedicated it to the islanders. The curtains fall and a splendid evening came to an end by making a history in itself.
