Port Blair, Oct 08: Around 270 Liters of locally blended liquor have been destroyed from Kishorinagar area of North Andaman and one person was nabbed during a raid by the Kalighat Police under a special operation.
On 07/10/20 a team of PS Kalighat consisting of SI P.Jeevan, SHO PS Kalighat, HC/ Alexender, PC/ Santi Burman, PC/ D Sanjay Sikdar, HG Gopal Ch Halder and HG/ Sudheer Burman under the guidance of DySP, Saukat Hussain, SDPO Diglipur and overall supervision of SP (D) North and Middle Andaman swung into action and raided the illicit distillation area inside the thick forest of Kishorinagar and recovered around 250 litres of mix in 12 containers ready for distillation, 25 literes of distilled liquor and its accessories. The team arrested a lady in this connection.
