Port Blair, Oct 06: Enraged at an illicit relationship between his wife with another man, a resident of Ograbraj along with his friends reportedly murdered the paramour a few days back.
As per the details available with Andaman Sheekha, the wife of the accused, Mr. Ashok registered a missing complaint at Pahargaon Police Station on 3rd October 2020, after her lover, Mr. Debasis, went untraceable since 01st October, 2020.
After the missing complaint was registered, the Pahargaon Police Unit swung into action and after interrogation of many people, yesterday night they found that Mr. Ashok actually committed the crime.
According to the sources, Mr. Ashok accepted that the crime was committed by him during interrogation and this morning he took the Police Team to the spot, near Kodiyaghat, where he dumped the body of Mr. Debasis, sources said.
A team of Forensic also accompanied the Police team to collect pieces of evidence from the spot.
As per the latest reports poured in, brother, cousin brother of the accused and a Jeep driver supported Mr. Ashok in this crime and this morning at 06:00 AM, Sub Inspector Mr. Shubham Ghosh along with Police Constable, Mr. Nadir, and Mr. Shareef traced all the three from Pahadi Nallah, Ograbraj.
The victim was a resident of Bhatu Basti and was working as a private worker.
A case is already registered in the Pahargaon Police Station in this regard and further inquiry is on. More details are awaited.
