Rangat, Oct 05: A 32 year old youth of Shantipur village of Swadeshnagar Gram Panchayat, died of electrocution at Hawa Mahal area in Rangat while carrying out welding works.
As per report, the youth was welding a steel pipe on a terrace when this accident took place. The public of the area reportedly had cautioned the owner of the fabrication firm that a high tension electric line is present over the terrace and that may cause setal accident at any point of time.
It is also learned that the deceased youth had also urged his owner to request the Electricity Department to stop the line or to take necessary steps to avoid any mishap before starting the welding work. But the owner reportedly ignored every ones request and ordered to carry-out the welding works.
Eventually, the high tension electric line touched his head and he fell down to the ground from the height, he was working, due to the electrocution. After this incident, he was immediately rushed to CHC Rangat, where the doctor declared him brought dead.
The parents of the deceased and public of the region demanded to register a case under relevant sections of IPC against the fabrication firm and also demanded compensation for the family members of the deceased.
