Port Blair, Sept 25: The Up Adhyaksh of Zilla Parishad, North and Middle Andaman had requested the District Administration to reopen the bus route from Baratang to Rangat region.
In a letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman, Mayabunder, Mr R Alager Swamy Up Adhyaksh Zilla Parishad,N&M Andaman requested to recommence the bus services on Baratang to Rangat route .
As per the sources it was learnt that Baratang region has been lacking in providing essential services due to which many of the public purposes are not carried out efficiently.
“The conveyance to commute on Baratang to Rangat route will help the general public as they have to visit Rangat for the essential works, such as to visit Tehsildar Office, Civil Supply office, medical visits, etc,” Mr. Alager Swami added.
