Port Blair, Sept 30: The Guru Sishya combination of V,Shankaranarayan and T.V.Gopalakrishnan , Vocal and Mridangam respectively along with A.S.Murali, Ghatam and Nagai Sriram, Violin kept the audience spell bound with their superlative karnatic classical rendition on Saturday, 29th at Tagore Govt College auditorium.
Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan 2012 organised by AIR,Port Blair coinciding with its Golden Jubilee Year celebrations was well received by the music lovers of Port Blair. It was a rare opportunity for the people of these far flung Islands to listen such top grade artists.
The programme started with the Sitar recital of Ustad Mehmood Mirza. The melody of Hindustani music was thoroughly enjoyed by the gathering. The Sitar maestro was accompanied by Mr. Subhash Nirwan in Tabla.
