Port Blair, Sept 08: A lost purse was found by a CID personnel at Harbor Colony, Austinabad with cash and other important documents today. The CID personnel however, managed to locate the person and hand over the purse within few hours.
As per reports, the CID personnel, Constable Girijesh Kumar while returning to his home from duty today at 08:00 PM found the purse on the roadside. According to the constable, as per the Aadhar card of the owner, the purse it belonged to Mr. Rahul Rana.
“As most of the people in the Harbor Colony, where I stay are defense personnel, hence, I went to my friend working in defense and inquired him about Mr. Rahul Rana. Luckily, he was known to my friend to whom I handed over the purse and the purse has now been handed over to the owner,” said Constable Girijesh.
Such act of honesty and responsibility might not be a big story but for a person losing a purse means not only losing hard-earned money but also losing a lot of crucial documents. Andaman Sheekha appreciates Constable Girijesh Kumar for showing such responsibility for society.
