Port Blair, Sept 06: After declaration of exam dates by various colleges in city under Pondicherry University, parents of college students, living in remote islands have expressed their deep concern.
Andaman Sheekha has found that local colleges have made all possible arrangements for the students coming from remote Islands. Sources in local colleges told Andaman Sheekha for students the hostels will be kept open 24X7 so that after reaching Port Blair they can directly come to the hostel. Other than that proper sanitization works are also on in college and hostel buildings.
Now parents are urging the Administration to ensure that students from even remotest corner of these Islands are able to reach Port Blair in time and return back safely after exam. The parents are also demanding that COVID19 tests, if required for students for moving from one Island to another should also be conducted free of cost as many students can’t afford Rs. 1000 for two tests will coming to Port Blair and while leaving Port Blair.
