Port Blair, September 4 : A huge venomous King Cobra was rescued today evening from the house of Mr. Swapan Gain, Madhupur, Ward no 5, Diglipur.
As per the sources, the snake was sighted by the family members and the matter was immediately informed to the wildlife division Diglipur.
Mr. Micah, a Forest Ranger and Mr. Obed Rafman reached the spot and found that the snake was in ceiling of house . The snake was having length of 2.4 meter and weighing about 4.5 kg approximately. The snake was later rescued and was released back in the forest.
