Port Blair, August 28: The Director, Health Department, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dr. Omkar Singh has urged the islanders to postpone their un- important air travel for two months and avoid unimportant travel.
In an interview with RNI, Port Blair, recently Dr. Singh claimed that the Island is in that phase now, from where it seems that the corona infection will reduce and for the cooperation of the general public is necessary.
He further added that the patients having symptoms of Corona, who reach the hospital at the last minute, have more complications, which sometimes result in their death.
“Hence, I urge the people to immediately visit the hospital if they feel they have corona symptoms,” Dr. Singh said.
Dr. Singh also requested the islanders to use hand sanitizer frequently, wear a mask, and maintain social distance.
