Port Blair, July 22: Two passengers who boarded MV Chowra Vessel yesterday to reach Car Nicobar were deboarded at Hut Bay Jetty, as later it was found that they were contacts of a COVID19 positive case at Port Blair.
According to reports both the officials are connected to CANI project, however Andaman Sheekha is yet to get an official confirmation on their occupation. Sources said that when the message was passed to concerned authorities, the passengers were first quarantined onboard the vessel and when the vessel reached Hut Bay, enroute Car Nicobar, they were asked to deboard.
After which they were taken first taken to PHC R K Pur Isolation Ward and from there they were taken to APWD Guest House for quarantine. They will be tested soon for COVID19, it is learnt.
