Port Blair, July 07: On 02nd July, 2020 around 34 persons of Bimblitan Village, Sippighat Panchayat joined the State unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, in presence of the State President BJP, A & N Islands Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, Former State President Mr. Vishal Jolly, State Vice-Presidents Mr. D.C. Arunagiri, Mr. M. Vinod & Mr. Prakash Adhikari, State General Secretary Mr. K. Ram Das, State Secretaries Smti. Sunita Sharma & Smti. Fulmani Thomas, State President, BJ Yuva Morcha & Chairperson-PBMC Mr. N. K. Udaya Kumar, Ex- Mahila Morcha Adhyaksha & Ex-Chairperson Smti. Anusiya Devi, State Office Incharge Mr. Maheshwar Lall, Port Blair City District President Mr. Rajesh Pal Govind and others.
Amongst those 34 persons, few prominent and strongest leaders of Congress party of Sippighat Panchayat Mr. Sita Ram @ Dhannu alongwith Mr. Anant Ram, Mr. Rakesh Ram and Mr. Suresh Ram joined hands with the BJP. Most of the joining persons were prominent Congress workers & villagers of Bimblitan village. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Sita Ram was earlier a Samiti Member as well as Panchayat Member from that locality.
The joining was done through Mr. Raj Govind, Zilla Parishad Member, BJP.
The joining leaders/persons expressed that being significantly impressed by the social services rendered by the State leaders of BJP during the pandemic of COVID-19 and also being inspired by the vision and developmental agenda of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, they have join hands with BJP.
The joining was done by strictly adhering to all norms, guidelines & other preventive measures of COVID-19.
