Port Blair, June 29: The President, Island Protection Forum, Mr. MT Musthafa, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Andaman Administration for providing all the necessary assistance to Andaman Students, who came out of Russia, Ukraine etc countries, amidst Corona threat and were later remained stranded at Chennai.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, Andaman Administration, Mr. MT Musthafa stated that after directions the DRC Chennai, Mrs. Bhubalakanni, AE (APWD) approached the Chennai Administration for providing assistance to the students for their stay at Chennai and also made arrangements to send the students from Chennai to Port Blair.
Due to the active role played by the DRC, Chennai, the students safely reached Port Blair on 20th June 2020. All the 08 such students stranded at Chennai returned to Indian under ‘Vande Bharat Mission’.
Another batch of students, who reached Chennai from Russia on 21st June 2020, have also been provided assistance and they arrived at Port Blair on 23rd June 2020.
“All arrangements were successful due to active participation of A&N Administration and special effort on the field by DRC Chennai, during the complete lockdown at Chennai city,” Mr. Musthafa added.
