Port Blair, June 28: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has taken up the matter with the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District in regard to issue of certificate to the government servants placed under quarantine on reaching Port Blair from mainland for regularization of their leave.
He informed that while the Government servants reporting for duty and to get the leave regularized, the department concerned asking for submission of proof of placing them under home quarantine specifically issued by the District Administration since all the asymptomatic passengers arriving from mainland either by Air or ship are placing under home quarantine for a period of 14 days in accordance with the promulgated Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to contain the spread of VOVID-19.
Hence, the MP requested Deputy Commissioner to issue such certificate to the Government servants concerned, which will facilitate them to report for duty and get regularization of leave.
