Port Blair, June 26: After publication of news by Andaman Sheekha regarding irresponsible garbage dumping at Loha Barrick by several nearby Panchayats, the Pradhan of Chouldari Panchayat, Mr. Mohan Halder today took immediate steps and cleaned the garbage dump from the said area by hiring excavators.
The area, which used to stink with nose busting foul smell, now looks clean. Not only this, Mr. Mohan Halder has also mentioned that the Chouldari Panchayat will now install CCTV Cameras in the area to keep an eye on trucks brining garbage from other nearby Panchayat. Mr. Mohan Halder also expressed gratitude towards Andaman Sheekha for highlighting this crucial issue.
The Waste Management Project of Chouldari Panchayat in Loha Barrick area is almost ready and according to the Pradhan of Chouldari, the project will be completed within two months, after which garbage management of three cluster Panchayats, Chouldari, Mithakhari and Humphrey Gunj, will be much easy.
