Port Blair, June 10: Mr. Subir Chander, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, met Dr. Navlendra Kumar Singh, Director, State Transport Service, A & N Administration and brought to his notice about various issues being faced by the general public of South Andaman District.
Among other issues Mr. Subir Chander requested the Director, STS, to introduce one short chassis bus fromI Tusnabad (Ranchi Basti) to Port Blair between 8 AM to 8.1 5 AM and Port Blair to Tushnabad (Ranchi Basti) between 4.30 PM to 5.00 PM. The Director, after hearing the grievances assured the Adhyaksh to introduce a short chassis bus in the said route at the requested timing.
Besides, Mr. Subir Chander also invited the attention of the Director of STS to resume the bus service from Port Blair to interior parts of Collinpur i.e. upto Kali-Kona near Collinpur Beach. The Director has positively responded to the request and assured to look into the matter at the earliest. Mr. B. Binoy. Dy. Director (Admin) also gave a patient hearing to the requests and assured to consider the matter positively.
