Port Blair, June 04: One more batch of 180 Jharkhand’s migrant workers were evacuated from Port Blair to Jharkhand today by a Delhi-based company, responding to Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren’s appeal to corporate houses seeking help in airlifting stranded people.
As per details, Delhi-based Interlinks Food Private Limited has paid nearly Rs 22 lakh for evacuating 180 migrants from Port Blair to Ranchi in an Indigo chartered flight No. 6E-9401.
The flight today reached Port Blair at 1445 hrs and left Port Blair at 1525 hrs. Earlier, the Jharkhand government had airlifted 180 migrant workers from Port Blair on May 30.
