Port Blair, May 12: To maintain the schedule of activities, the last dates are fixed by the Indira Gandhi National Open University, for the students to follow the time frame. The online portal is open throughout 24×7, including weekends, closed holidays and even during lockdown period. In Spite of 24-hours student support services, through digital platforms, many students are waiting for the last date to approach. Many phone calls and emails are received mainly for the last date. Having sufficient (long) time for the last date, still students are much worried about the last date, instead of timely submission, well in advance. All the IGNOU students are advised to submit the hand-written assignments, exam fee application form, re-registration fee, entrance test application for Ph.D / MBA etc. as immediately as possible. During the last date, due to over transactions, the portal will be overloaded. The poor internet connection / speed problem will also add further complications. Thus, students are advised to act as immediately as possible, for timely payments. A communication from IGNOU Regional Centre Port Blair said.
