Port Blair, May 05: The Member, UT Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Mrs. Sampa Banerjee has requested the Secretary Education, Andaman and Nicobar Islands to announce vacations now and issue permission for teachers to move from Green zone to Red zone at the earliest.
In a letter addressed to the Secretary Education, Mrs. Banerjee stated that though online classes for students have started by various means but all students are unable to receive the fullest benefits of it.
“Due to the bad internet the students in rural, as well as urban, are unable to take the benefit of the online classes to the fullest but teachers are stuck at where they were before lockdown and cannot leave the station due to commencement of online classes, therefore early announcing vacations and granting permission for movement of teachers from Green zone to the tinted zone would be a beneficial and helpful decision for all,” Mrs. Banerjee requested.
