Port Blair, April 29: The President, Island Protection Forum, Mr. MT Mustafa has requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Islands to issue directions to the authorities to give first preference to the referred inter-island patients to leave for their destinations after lockdown ends.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, Mr. MT Mustafa applauded the administration for providing free meals and stay even to the attendant of the patient.
“I have learned that documentation formalities brought up by the administration for the travel of the patients and their attendants are adding to the woes of the attendant as he has to run to do the needful from pillar to post,” Mr. Mustafa said.
Hence, Mr. Mustafa requested the CS to make documentation formalities for traveling in the ward itself so that no one has to struggle for the same.
