Port Blair, Apr 22: A Memorandum, issued as per the instruction received from Mr. Elvin Baruah, State Observer, Aam Adami Party, A&N Islands, by Mr. Sivan Jothe, Kannadasan, Uma Maheswari, Asha Patro & P. Shiva Sanyasi Devudu, Aam Adami Party, A&N Islands to the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands as advisories for the Covid-19, a pandemic.
In response to Covid-19, the imposed lockdown is extended upto 3rd May, 2020 alongwith other states. The memorandum consisting the following advisories i.e. the Private Workers, Working in the various firms are facing lot of problems due to the lockdown. Requirement of essential commodities to the needy peoples of these islands. The entire areas of the Covid-19 identified positive areas be quarantined and sanitized in presence of the Govt. Official.
Further it is added that the necessary action may be initiated against the shop owners, who selling the commodities in higher prices, as per law.
During the lockdown period, if any foreign national accommodated in any part of A&N Islands, the Administration may bear their food & loading cost under our ethics “Atithi Devo Bhava.”
The Administration may take adequate necessary steps to the individuals as chewing pans & spiting the surroundings is an offence.
It is also mentioned the advisory that measures are also take to get relief materials to the needy migrant labours and give them proper guidance and instructions.
At last, it is also to mention about the Optical Fiber Cable work to faster the network in these Islands for speedy implementation of the online teaching system mentioned by the education department to get the benefit of the students by Delhi AAP MLA Mr. Somnath Bharti ji for high speed internet services in A&N Islands.
