Port Blair, Apr 20: Central Crime Station in its commitment towards zero tolerance against illegal activities and acting on a specific information regarding illegal resale of IMFL from Bars at exorbitant rate in the ongoing Lockdown conditions, a trap was laid in the wee hours near APT Bar, Shadhipur. Three persons namely T. Paneer Selvam, S/o Sh. Thothan, (49)Yrs, Owner of APT Bar & Restaurant, R/o Shadhipur, 2) S. Selva Raj, S/o Sh. Sethu Muthu, (39)Yrs, Staff of APT Bar & Restaurant, R/o Shadhipur and 3) M. Mani, S/o Sh. Maria Raj, (30)Yrs, Staff of APT Bar & Restaurant, R/o Shadhipur were found engaged in illegal pilferage of IMFL stored in the Bar. They were concealing it in gunny bags for resale in the locality. A team headed by Inspr. D. Jagdishwar Rao, SHO PS CCS, SI T.Dilla Rao, HC Venkateshwar Rao, PC’s P.K.Mondal, G. Ravi, Samaresh Mistry & John intercepted them and arrested all the three persons and seized 700 Nos 750 ml, 720 Nos 375 ml, 3776 Nos 180 ml of IMFL whisky bottles and 635 Nos 650 ml Beer, 44 Nos 325 ml Beer cans i.e in Total 5875 bottles of IMFL liquor. A case under Excise regulation, IPC and Disaster Management Act-2005 has been registered at PS CCS and investigation is under progress
The raids were supervised by Shri Ashok Kumar, DANIPS, Dy.SP (CID) under the overall supervision of Shri Ravi Kumar Singh, IPS, SP(CID).

The informer will be suitably rewarded and his/her identity will be kept secret.
