Port Blair, Apr 16: In wake of COVID-19, the contributions as below have been received on 16.04.2020 towards the Lt. Governor’s Relief Fund:-
a) A delegation of members of Executive Committee of Polytechnic Students and Staff Co-operative Society, operated by the staff and students of DBRAIT, represented by Ms. S. Raji (Secretary), Shri Sanjay Malhotra (Dean-Student Affairs), Ms. Sapna (President-Student Council), Shri Jayaprakash (Secretary-Campus), contributed Rupees Three Lakh Seventy Five Thousand.
b) The Pentacostal Mission Society, A&N Islands represented by Pastor. Joy Eapen (Bishop), Bro. Mohan (Asst. Bishop), Bro. Babu (Worker Brother), Dr. Dev Singh (Asst. Prof., ANCOL) contributed a sum of Rupees One Lakh.
Separately, on 15.04.2020, Dr. Pronob Kumar Sircar, Tribal Welfare Officer and Shri Salim Mohammed, R/o Garacharma had contributed a sum of Rupees Eleven Thousand and Rupees Ten Thousand One respectively towards the LG’s Relief Fund.
All the above cheques were received by Shri Kulanand Joshi, IAS, Secretary to Lt Governor, A&N Islands.
