Port Blair, Apr 07: All those who have completed their 14 days’ of Home/Institutional quarantine (including those in Govt. sponsored quarantine facilities) are free from quarantine on 15th day of the quarantine period starting from the day of contact and/or the day put under quarantine subject to various orders/direction issued by UT Administration/Govt. of India for maintaining social distance.
However, those who are having any symptoms of Influenza like Illness shall continue to remain in quarantine till the disappearance of symptoms or negative test result whichever is applicable.
Further, they should also have self-observation for next 14 days for development of any symptoms. If any symptom develops during the next 14 days, they should consult the health professional accordingly or call 232102. However, they shall maintain the norms of social distancing and follow personal hygiene and etiquettes for coughing and sneezing. Also, they shall restrict their movements and only emergency/needed movement may be undertaken.
