Port Blair, Apr 07: A relief camp was established at Government Senior secondary school, Bathubasti under the supervision of district administration, South Andaman. A total of 74 inmates are staying in the camp. The inmates are provided with cooked food, packaged drinking water of 20 litre cans, TV with cable connection in the hall, and proper mattresses with bed sheets.
The camp area is sanitized by the health department, and regular cleaning is done by PBMC. All the inmates are medically examined regularly by PHC Garacharma.
Staffs or education department are deployed in the camp and one vehicle from control room is available for emergency requirements. Deputy Commissioner and Secretary (Labour) A&NI administration, along with other officers of the administration, visited the camp today evening and interacted with the inmates.
The group of officers made sure that the inmates are ensured with all the facilities inside the camp.
