Port Blair, March 31: Several complaints of dialysis patients of far-flung areas are pouring in that they are struggling to reach the hospital for dialysis due to the lockdown.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mr. MT Mustafa, President, Island Protection Forum said that the dialysis patients mostly who are staying in remote parts of North and Middle Andaman are finding it difficult to reach the RP Hospital, Mayabunder for dialysis.
Mr. MT Mustafa mooted that the Health Department that must instruct the Sub- Centers to identify dialysis patients in their particular area so that arrangements could be easily made for them to reach the hospital.
“There are several complaints we have received from the dialysis patients of South Andaman as well, hence, the suggested step would help many, in this regard,” Mr. Mustafa added.
