Port Blair, 01st Mar, 2020: The Make My Trip Foundation has installed convenience facilities at the beach in Shaheed Dweep (Neil Island). This includes showers, toilets and locker room, water, ATMs, distribution of re-usable bottles to tourists, waste management with manpower allocation, plastic scavenging drives and capacity building initiate in collaboration with the local tourism community to ensure promotion of green activities program of “Corporate Social Responsibilities Initiative”.
This will be inaugurated by Shri. Chetan B. Sanghi, IAS, Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration on 3rd March, 2020 at Bharatpur beach, Shaheed Dweep (Niel Island). On behalf of Make my Trip Foundation, the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industries has invited tourism stack holders to take part in the inaugural function.
For participants of the inaugural function, the passenger ferry, M.V. Makruzz is schedule to sail from Haddo Wharf on 3rd March, 2020 at 8.00 AM and return to Port Blair same day at 3.00 PM.
