Port Blair, Feb.23: Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA) Junglighat, Port Blair, celebrated the “22nd International Mother Language Day” on 21st February 2020, Friday. The programme has been arranged near Maharajanagar Street, Bhathu Basti, Port Blair at 6.00pm. Mr. S. K. Singh, retired Principal of Education Deptt. of A & N Administration was the Chief Guest in this cultural programme. The Function was inaugurated with the floral tribute on the photo of Bhasha Sahid Smarak Mancha by the Chief Guest, and the President of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA). Mr. Tapas Kumar Das, President of ASA welcomed the gathering.
The members of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA) presented an inaugural song ‘Aamar Bhai Er Rakte Rangano 21 Shee February’. After that one by one music teacher, students and lovers presented solo song, group song, and poem. Mr. Knakan Mondal, Music Teacher of Education Deptt. of A & N Administration and Mr. Mohon Basi Das was the guest artists on the occasion. They are sung very well in front of gathering. Audience was mesmerized of the speech by the Chief Guest Mr. S. K. Singh. Entire programmed table accompanies by Mr. Emnuel Mridha and flute accompanies by Mr. Ananda Mridha.
The programme was concluded at 8.30pm with the vote of thanks by Mr. Soumen Home Chowdhury, the General Secretary of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA), Junglighat, Port Blair.
