Port Blair, Feb 23: To commemorate the 21st International Mother Tongue Day, a cultural get together was organised by Aditya Natya Academy (ANA) Port Blair in it’s premises at 31 M.G Road, Middle Point Port Blair on 21st Feb 2020 at 1800 Hrs onwards. Mr. Chittoranjan Roy ( Retd. teacher) was the chief guest on this occasion. The programme started with the welcome address of Mr. A.R Bhattacharjee, General Secretary of ANA. Thereafter all the members paid floral tribute at Bhasha Shaheed Bedi.
The programme started with a report on the theme “AMAR EKUSHE” presented by Mrs. Sujata Roy Chowdhury. The chief guest spoke at length about the significance of the observation of International Mother Tongue Day. A couple of songs and poetry recital presented by Mr. Nandalal Debsharma, Mrs. Lakhirani Roy and Mr. Srijit Roy Chowdhury. The programme was conducted by Mr. A. R Bhattacharjee and concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Arijit Roy Chowdhury, the life member of ANA.
