Baratang, Jan 30: After series of demand letters, assurances and media reports finally the Baratang Islands got two DG sets of 750 KW and 500 KW to address the local power crisis issue. According to reports both DG Sets have reached Baratang. Mr. Alager Swami, the up-adhayaksh of North and Middle Andaman who had taken up this matter in past occasions, has expressed his gratitude towards the Secretary Power and also the entire Andaman and Nicobar Administration. Similarly the Pradhan of Nilambur Panchayat Mr. Roy George and other PRI members have also expressed their gratitude in this regard.
