Port Blair, Jan 30: As a part of the 44th Coast Guard Raising Day celebrations, Coast Guard District Headquarters at Diglipur organised visit of school children on 27 Jan 20. The aim of the event was to promote creativity and develop personality and a spirit of patriotism amongst our young generation. A total of 85 students and 03 teachers from Government Secondary School, Madhupur participated in the event. The Students were briefed about the various equipment and weapons being used by Indian Coast Guard. A promotional movie highlighting the activities/ operations undertaken by Indian Coast Guard was screened at Community Hall, District Headquarters, Diglipur. A Motivational lecture on Indian Coast Guard was delivered to the students for setting the Future goals and helping them to find the carrier options in Indian Coast Guard at various posts. During interaction with CG Officers and men, the teachers and children showed a lot of enthusiasm, and discussed various entry schemes available to join Indian Coast Guard.
