Port Blair, Jan 30: On 28/01/2020, Shri. Prashant Choudhary, SDPO Car Nicobar visited Katchal Island and interacted with the Tribal leaders and villagers of Katchal Island at Japan Tikrey Community Hall. During the interaction they were informed about the Suspicious packets found at sea shore of Car Nicobar which may contain harmful substance and requested them to pass information to Police on sighting of such type of suspicious material. Further they were briefed about the POCSO Act, Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, traffic rules and new traffic violation fines. They were requested to create awareness among the young tribal generation about ill effects of alcohol and drugs. They were also informed that, a License Mela will be organised next month at Katchal in coordination with RTO for the convenience of peoples who want to make new driving licence or renewal existing driving licence.
